Ich habe mich gefreut, als ich Dark Circle auf dem ersten Foreign Beggars Album hörte - 2 Hamburger Emcees die in Brixton wohnten. Sie rappten 50/50 auf Englisch und Deutsch. Auf ihr erstes Album "Civilians" hatten sie Features von Skinnyman und Mystro. Deutschrap besetzt ein wichtiger Platz in meinem Herz und ich hoffe auf mehr UK/Deutschrap Collabos.
Interessant - von welchen Jahren sprechen wir da genau? Torch war wohl der erste der in Bonn die Bahnlinie gebombt hat 89/90 check the History - Peace and Respect to all you out there.

Nein in seiner Monografie geht es um die Philosophie und die Texte des Albums Blauer Samt. Es gibt ein paar Bücher mittlerweile wo es Graffitis von Torch zu sehen gibt (Heidelberg, Berlin, Basel, Hamburg) aber noch keines aus Bonn. @@lazrseagull54
Wish I could have attended that gig in hamburg at the end. I mean - I was there (outside) but only for distributing flyers for a jam I did in Hamburg later that year (Mass Hysteria Jam) which I spent all my money on so that I could not afford the ticket for that gig. True story, haha. Years later Blade said to me that I should have mentioned it to him back then and he would have let me in. And I'm sure he would have done, dude's a legend.

Larger than life! Very funny that Blade calls himself a lyricist and Torch is a MC. Torch is defo both. The album is a mile deep, you can listen 50 times and always find something new. That ones for the educated listener. Reading the book makes no sense if you never heard the album. I also like the pointing out of the cultural differences. At the end of the day it's all Hip Hop, one live, one fam and real recognize real!!!!
